So yes, today.
Yesterday, someone posted in my Moose Group a story about being uninvited to a wedding. I was at the gym when this happened and neglected to do my research, so I figured this was a legit post.
A tweeblehead decided to be nasty about it, so I defended the original poster. But when at home, i copy/pasted 5-6 words from it into Google… and saw it was a viral fake posting that was flying around the Internet.
Sigh. So! I apologized to the group for missing that.
The point remains, however – always do you due diligence when responding to *anything* online. So sad there are such scumbuckets around who are willing to fool others.
Elsewhere in LingLand, one kid of mine is graduating from middle school. For the life of me, I dont get that – graduations are for high school (to me, at least). But whatever – will be celebrating that and driving all over creation as well. Wheee!

Ever have your kid feel utterly miserable and act out because of it?
That was HS2 yesterday. Refusal to communicate. Okay, thought I, Ill let you work it out on your own and Ill take advantage of finishing my grand idea, going to the gym myself, etc.etc.etc. Mom Time By Herself!
Hah.
5 minutes later (right before I was going to go out) he came back and said, Mom, can we please talk this out and see where the communication failure point happened?
So much for MomTime.
So we talked… and talked… and talked…. gave him some coping mechanisms…. and talked… and talked… and the end physical result? He asked to take his bike for exercising (1.5 mile ride uphill/downhill that was, then I let him pack the bike into the moosemobile) and then we both hit the gym for 30 minutes (Mom, Im going to push myself – its better than just feeling sorry for myself), and then did some grocery shopping. Talked more about false friends, how one can never control others actions but can always choose how to react….
Good times all around. Whole adventure took 2 hours yesterday.
Parenting. Its not for the faint of heart.
