Good morning!
It’s Thursday morning and I’m at a peak of imperfection.
Lousy night last night – going to go into the city today with the
husband and get my leg recasted. Want to make sure there’s no
infection/etc.etc/…..
You know, it’s really tough. This has to be one of *the*
the scariest thingees I’ve gone thru. Intellectually, I know
it should all work out in the end, but emotionally, I find
myself hobbled at my computer with soul-filling *fear*.
What *if* I never recover? What *if* my kids have to
watch me be pathetic?
Of course, I’m using this panic to spur me to transform
the whole icky experience into a learning experience. Go figure.
I called together all 4 of my kids for a family meeting and
walked them thru everything – my fears, how I’m choosing
to deal with them, and how its okay to be scared so long as you
end up facing everything (ie, the Father Unit and I will be going
to visit the doctor but I’ll make sure to first write up my emails
and queue them so I can rest in the afternoon).
And that’s my morning! 🙂 How goes you ? Anything exciting?
