It’s time now for me to draw this particular
story arc to a close.
When last we chatted, I shared with you
the joys of my collapsed ankle on 8/13/12
or so. Truly…it was character-building to
say the least!
So wanna know what happened?
The next day from touching down at
the airport, I visited my NJ orthopedic
surgeon who told me, I had, and I quote,
bone on bone bruising.
What was more amusing than watching
my fuzzy wallet self-combust in
the microwave was the memory
*that* conjured up:
‘Way ‘way ‘WAY long
ago, 3 years to be precise, when I had
seen the top surgeon at the NY Hospital
for Special Surgery, who informed me
that yep, I had zero cartilege in my ankle,
and yep, the only thing feasible would be
fusing that deformed joint of mine.
I have to admit – he was sooo right – here’s

To make a long story short, I returned to that
doctor for a followup and ended up having
my ankle fused on 10/8/12:

We can rebuild me! We have the technology!
As it turns out, I’ll be having my cast FINALLY
removed next Tuesday on 1/8/13 – 3 months,
to the day, that it was put on.
