Morning!
It’s Saturday morning and I just slept for 11
hours (at http://animenext.org with me kids)
and during that sleep…. I had the most bizarre
dream. I woke up from it twice, actually…and
then slept back into it for the 3rd time!
In a nutshell, I was back in a new karate dojo
where every month, the students had to face
a starving tiger one on one (the tiger shows up
in the book Midnight Falcon by David Gemmell –
I’ve been living my life based on lots of wisdom
from him).
My former instructors were there too…and
when my time came, I calmly told them, I am *not*
going to participate…this is just plain horribly wrong
(and get this, my weapon was an unopened jar of Tiger Balm
ointment in my pocket).
And they told me, I had hoped you would say
that because *someone* has to say that.
But then I was told, things will only get worse if I don’t!
(?)! Because after all, they were just fired from
their blogging jobs (?) and if I don’t play, it might
happen to me too! (?)
Gotta love how dreams manifest themselves!
Now, as you know, I’ve been under a wee bit of
stress these past 3 weeks (personal too). I found
out that a friend broke one of my confidences to
my former karate master without telling me.
Interestingly enough, said friend did NOT show
up in my dream, which kinda sorta tells me my
subconscious has written him off bigtime.
So! Here’s what I got out of my guardian angel…
and what I want to share with you.
I took some huge chances these past 3 weeks
in me personal life that backfired a bit. Folks
asked me, why did you reach out? It might go
wrong (which it did)!
But you know something….if you *personally* feel
that you’re doing the right thing for the right reasons….
even if your friends are afraid to do the same….
==> You just freakin’ do it so you can look into the mirror
==> at the end of the day and be proud of the person you
==> see looking back at you.
To hell with what cowards think.
I’m still processing all the lessons learned….
and I hope you find them useful too!
Now, I always include yesterday’s goodies in

It happened about a month ago or so?.
Roger and Barry gave a mastermind talk
to the WSO JV group on Facebook
and shared something so brilliant, so
insightful, it literally forced my socks
into the stratosphere and out of orbit.
And it was this.
When you want to build a presence
online…you create a brand around which
you can promote your products. Ie, they’re
the Crusher Dudes and their community
is the Crusher community and and and….
And a week or so after that, I myself created
my paid group IM Hackers. Because that’s
going to be *my* community and *my* brand.
